Pick a theme you'd actually do anyway

Selfie, timer or a third friend

How the photo is taken changes the result as much as the pose does.

1. Step 1

   Arm's-length selfie

   Close, warm and a little chaotic. Use the rear camera if you can see the screen in a reflection; it is much sharper.

2. Step 2

   Timer on a ledge

   Prop the phone on a wall or a bag at chest height, set a 10 second timer with burst, and keep moving through the countdown.

3. Step 3

   Ask a third friend

   Give them one direction: stay low, shoot vertical, take lots. Then swap so everyone ends up in some photos.

Flash photo booth at home
